1. The Test Data

Copy the content below into a Word Document (.docx). Important: In Word, ensure you use the "Increase Indent" button or the "Multilevel List" library to create these levels so the metadata is preserved.

I. GLOBAL OPERATIONS STRATEGY (Level 1: Roman Numeral)

  1. Regional Infrastructure Planning (Level 2: Numbered) a) Data Center Site Selection (Level 3: Lowercase Alphabet) i) Environmental Impact Assessment (Level 4: Lowercase Roman) • Carbon Footprint Analysis (Level 5: Bullet Point) • Renewable Energy Availability (Level 5: Bullet Point) ii) Fiber Optic Latency Testing (Level 4: Lowercase Roman) b) Hardware Procurement Lifecycle (Level 3: Lowercase Alphabet)
  2. Personnel Resource Allocation (Level 2: Numbered) a) Engineering Support Tiers (Level 3: Lowercase Alphabet) i) Tier 1: Initial Response (Level 4: Lowercase Roman) • 24/7 Monitoring (Level 5: Bullet Point)

2. Manual Verification Checklist (The "Three-Point Check")

When you perform the test, evaluate the results against these specific criteria:

A. The Marker Check (The "What")

  • Level 1: Must stay I. (If it turns into 1., the CSS is overriding the list-style-type).
  • Level 3: Must stay a) or a. (If it turns into a bullet, the editor is failing to recognize nested ordered lists).
  • Level 5: Must be a Bullet (•).

B. The Indentation Check (The "Where")

  • Each level should be indented further than the previous one (typically by 20px to 40px or 0.5 inches).
  • The "Alignment Wall": Draw a mental vertical line from the start of the text in Level 1. Level 2's marker should start significantly to the right of that line.

C. The Structural Integrity Check (The "How")

  • Text Wrapping: If you make one of the Level 5 bullets very long (two sentences), the second line must wrap under the start of the text, not under the bullet point itself.
  • Tab Integrity: Click into the "Clickthrough Settings" tab. If your application has "Global Styles" or "Theme Settings," ensure that changing a theme doesn't "flatten" your 5-level list into a single-level list.
